Women's Resource Society of the Fraser Valley - Mandate

To provide and promote the development of services that will assist in reducing the incidence of domestic violence including, but not limited to:

A - Provision of support services, including accommodation, to women and their children from violent domestic situations.

B - Provision and promotion of public education regarding domestic violence.

C - Promotion of the development of relevant and appropriate therapeutic programs.

D - Applying for and soliciting government and community resources, to be used solely for the Society and its programs.

E - Supporting and assisting clients in reaching their goals.

F - Referring clients to community agencies and social service for employment information, educational opportunities, legal aid, financial advice, etc.

 

G - To provide affordable housing for low and moderate income women and their children.

WRSFV Programs and Services are funded by: The Province of British Columbia: Ministry of Health, Ministry of Housing and Social Development, Government of Canada: Status of Women Canada, Health Canada, United Way of the Fraser Valley, District of Mission, Mission/Abbotsford Soroptimist International, Business, Service and Faith Groups, Individuals and fundraising initiatives.
