1000 Women / 100$ Fundraising Campaign

The Women's Resource Society of the Fraser Valley (WRSFV) helps women and children who are dealing with the impacts of violence in their lives. Along with emergency shelter, counseling, and other primary supports, access to affordable and safe housing is essential to successful recovery from the damage caused by violence.

The problem is, there is no place to go! With a vacancy rate of only 2%, affordable, safe housing is a luxury, when it can be found. This lack of housing is a huge problem for women.

WRSFV is doing something about it.

We are asking the women of Abbotsford and Mission to help us raise $100,000 this year.

This $100,000 will be the beginning of an endowment fund that will support current and future housing initiatives for Mission and Abbotsford women and children.

WRSFV Programs and Services are funded by: The Province of British Columbia: Ministry of Health, Ministry of Housing and Social Development, Government of Canada: Status of Women Canada, Health Canada, United Way of the Fraser Valley, District of Mission, Mission/Abbotsford Soroptimist International, Business, Service and Faith Groups, Individuals and fundraising initiatives.
